Step 4: Enter Material Cost Per Square Foot

Enter the estimated material cost per square foot. This may include joists, rim boards, subfloor sheathing, hangers, fasteners, blocking, adhesives, connectors, and waste allowance. Material pricing should be updated with current local supplier quotes before using the estimate for serious budgeting.

Step 5: Enter Labor Cost Per Square Foot

Enter the estimated labor cost per square foot. Labor pricing can vary depending on contractor availability, crew size, schedule, framing difficulty, structural details, and local market conditions.

Step 6: Click Calculate Cost

After entering the values, click the calculate button. The calculator will show the estimated floor framing cost, including materials, labor, joist type and access adjustment, 10% contingency, and total estimated cost.
